We are counting down the day until the 2013 Boots and Bachelor Auction, Bakersfield’s premiere fundraising event benefitting the Bakersfield Homeless Center. The Boots and Bachelor Auction will take place on Friday, September 27 at the Buck Owens Crystal Palace starting at 6 p.m.
The Bakersfield Homeless Center is the only 174 bed homeless shelter serving women, children, and families in Kern County. In 2011-2012, BHC provided year-around emergency shelter, food, clothing and supportive services for over 23 consecutive years. During this time, BHC has provided: 3,409,088 hot meals, 1,065,127 warm beds, 6,675 jobs, and 6,931 housing placements to some of the most vulnerable residents of the community. Along with emergency services, BHC operates Discovery Depot, the only licensed day care facility within the state operating from a homeless center.
This year’s Bachelor Auction promises to be another amazing event, packed with loads of fun and entertainment. There will be 16 bachelors to be auctioned off, live DJ entertainment, a live auction and a silent auction, and a whole lot of fun!
This is an event you will not want to miss with limited seating available. Tickets are $50 and are available now by calling: 378-5646.
